The Leaves They Are A-Changin’

For as long as she could remember, she had thought that autumn air went well with books, that the two both somehow belonged with blankets, comfortable armchairs, and big cups of coffee or tea.

  1. These are all beautiful, but the reflection is so unusual. Amazing.

    1. Thank you! I’ve enjoyed trying to capture the different water and reflection shots, but I think the weather is about to transition and those shots may be over soon.

    1. Thank you! At this point in the fall, the reflection photos have become a favorite because it’s much more enjoyable chasing leaves around the lake in a a kayak than around the yard with a leaf blower.

    1. Thank you! The last few days we have had both the beauty of fall color and summer-like weather. I usually do not have a problem with the cold and snow, but this year I think I will be dragging my feet from autumn to winter.

  8. I enjoyed every one of these photos, ACI — a beautiful expression of autumn. My favorite is the second one, the leaf and branch–they look like they’re dancing together, or holding each other up, like mates.

    1. Thank you and I’m glad you enjoyed this series. The leaves have been falling like crazy this week and, while working in the yard with the leaf blower, the sunlight broke through the branches on the leaf and branch, which resulted in a much needed break for photography.
