Are You Pondering What I’m Pondering?

I’ve been pondering:

  • Will Jack Reacher: Never Go Back be as good as the first Reacher movie?
  • Is it time to forgive Ben Affleck for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and go see The Accountant?
  • Why did I mock the tv remake of Lethal Weapon, when it has become a favorite new fall tv show along with Bull, This Is Us and Designated Survivor?
  • Will the great baseball managers, Terry Francona and Joe Maddon, face one another in the World Series or will the Dodgers be responsible for eliminating my two favorite teams, the Washington Nationals and Chicago Cubs?
  • Will Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals return to his MVP form next year and will Tony Romo be the starting quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys when he returns from injury?
  • What happened to the football programs at Notre Dame and Michigan State University this season?
  • With the colder days, will I finally catch up on the new season of fall tv shows recorded on the DVR and the latest books added to the library, The Nix by Nathan Hill, Born to Run by Bruce Springsteen and Here I Am by Jonathan Safran Foer?
  • Now that the weather is changing, will the photography opportunities and blogging decrease or will new interests present themselves?
  • Seventeen days until the presidential election is seventeen days too many!!

    I’ve seen Jack Reacher on TV and thought that it was very good, and I think the second one will be as well although I will wait for it to be on TV. I’ve not seen the TV series you mention except for Bull which I don’t care for because it is too much the same every week. Not a sports fan so no opinions on that. But I do think that the changing seasons present constant photographic opportunities. I hope that blogging doesn’t decrease because I enjoy spending time every morning catching up on what is new on the tags that I follow.

      I plan on seeing Jack Reacher this weekend and I’m hoping that even though the reviews have not been great that they are wrong like they were about the first movie. I’m a little disappointed Bull has stuck to the same pattern each week, but hopefully since they have mentioned items about his past they will start exploring more about his character. I’ve really enjoyed making an effort to go out each day and find some shots and I’m hoping the weather does not change that. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and I enjoyed your comment.

    I love that show Lethal Weapon too!!! It’s definitely one of my favorites also.

      There is no way I thought I would be looking forward to Lethal Weapon each week, but Damon Wayans and Clayne Crawford are great together.

    I guess being Australian I am not pondering many of those things, but I do know you will have just as many photo opportunities in autumn and winter as you have through the spring and summer months and I look forward to seeing them. This is an amazing world we live in. Best not to mention the upcoming election!

      I definitely try to stay away from talk about this election and one of the things I love about blogging is learning about other countries and cultures. I guess I will have to go into the end of the year with the mind-set to ignore the weather and go outdoors with the camera and search for a good shot.

    So many great questions! I really hope the new Jack Reacher is better than the reviews – I enjoyed the first movie. “Designated Survivor” is hugely entertaining, Kiefer Sutherland would get my vote for president if he ran (although I think he’s Canadian? And we’re ok with Justin Trudeau just now…) I’ve been pulling my glasses off and cleaning them, trying to look serious and presidential, but mostly end up not seeing clearly. It’s not easy being a leader…
    I hope you get outside with your camera when the temperature drops. I’m betting you’ll find lots to photograph and plenty of thoughts to share!

      I have found myself talking to the tv while watching Designated Survivor over the glasses and wishing they could add a little of the excitement of Kiefer’s old role as Jack Bauer and Maggie Q’s role as Nikita to the show. Thanks for reminding me you have Trudeau and we have a potential mess. I love the Reacher character in Lee Child’s books and have always found when books are adapted to movies they are never quite as good. The new Reacher movie was as good as the first (except for the absence of Robert Duval), but the movie still failed to match the great book series. I am going to try and continue going out with the camera daily and hopefully I will be surprised by what I find. Thanks for the great comment and enjoy your weekend!

    I think out of all the new shows this season that my surprising favorite is This Is Us. I don’t typically watch shows like this, but really like it! I also am enjoying Lethal Weapon and wish I liked Designated Survivor more.

      I have been surprised This Is Us and Lethal Weapon are my two favorite new shows this year. I thought the way they introduced the storyline in the first episode of This Is Us was great. I think Designated Survivor gets better each episode and I’m hoping Bull starts adding a little bit more to the show.

    personally I do not ponder about TV shows,but I certainly do ponder when I out in Nature.It’s the best channel one can subscribe to!
