  1. Solitude…yes please! The play of light, and the different shades on the water, they’ve made an interesting surface. A lucky bird! I hope you’re having a good weekend!

    1. The morning light that fall day was special and I was lucky the seagull was willing to share the solitude. The weekend is ending on a good note with a great chance for a couple inches of snow tonight.

  2. This is such a great picture. I’m going through a dark patch of late and I’ve discovered that I’m a person who likes solitude a little to much It’s like I just got sick of the busy bustle. I’m not sure why. But especially in nature I find it so nice just to be silent and listen.

  3. The solitude of the seagull is appealing and calming. Thank you. I also like your six-word story with this. I’ve seen a few on other blogs, making me curious to give it a try as well. YOUR seagull and your words have inspired me. ❤

  4. Such a wonderful breath of silence here, ACI. A single gull resting quietly, and the blue in the water’s surface evokes a quiet coolness.

    1. Thank you! The wonderful fall lighting when this was taken has slipped away lately, but luckily the lake is still full of wonderful birds.
