Reading Recipes

I read recipes the same way I read romance novels.  I get to the end and I think, that’s not going to happen!

  1. Fun! But in both cooking and in romance novels, it often does. 😉

    1. I love cookbooks and often find that while reading recipes I lose track of time and then have to order takeout.🙂

    1. It’s amazing how simple it appears on cooking shows and in romance novels and movies.😁

  2. Excellent quote, and oh so true! We said we had to stop buying recipe books, our shelves are at peak cookbook, yet every now and then another one finds a space…

    1. The quote made me laugh and new cookbooks continue to be added to the library and if I’m in line to long at the store, somehow one of the latest food magazines always ends up in the cart.🙂

  3. Haha, great quote! We recently thinned out our cookbooks– so many that were never used. These days, if I want to make something I go on the internet most of the time anyway.

    1. Loved the quote and so far I’ve found it impossible to clear any space on my bookshelves and continue to add books and bookcases to the library.🙂

      1. One wall of our living room is bookshelves, 8′ x 15′ long. We thinned them a couple years ago, but you wouldn’t know it! I can’t part with the classics, but occasionally, I winnow a few more.

  4. Haha, funny and true. I have very few cookbooks as most of the stuff within ain’t ever gonna happen.

    1. After reading a recipe, my first thought is usually that this seems like a lot of work and I bet there is a restaurant nearby that can definitely cook it better than me.😁
