More Snow And The Birds Are At The Breaking Point

BRING PLENTY OF PEANUTS!

LEAVE THE DOG INDOORS!

THE SQUIRRELS ARE NOT CUTE!

DO NOT MAKE EYE CONTACT!

BACK AWAY SLOWLY!

…AND WE ALL MIGHT JUST SURVIVE THIS!

    1. I agree with the birds – enough is enough!๐Ÿ˜ I hope that after all the snow they received in parts of New Jersey and New York that the storm weakened before it arrived in your area.๐Ÿ™‚

      1. Not too bad! We got 12 inches of snow—not unusual for Maine—and it wasn’t particularly heavy. Also, not much wind. So we made out pretty well.

    1. At this rate, I expect spring to arrive in May. I will have to go kayaking in my winter boots!๐Ÿ˜

    1. Itโ€™s always surprising to see so many of them during the snowstorms and yesterday they made sure the squirrels did not steal their peanuts.๐Ÿ™‚

    1. I never thought I would say this, but what happened to our beautiful February weather. I knew I should not have been so excited about those 60 degrees days.๐Ÿ˜

  4. I so understand how this feels. The birds are exhausted and we have to keep them going to make it through until spring!!

    1. We have plenty of peanuts and birdseed to help them through these last few weeks of winter.๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Iโ€™m always amazed watching they stay through the bitter cold and snow and I think weโ€™ve actually had more birds visiting this winter.๐Ÿ™‚

    1. The cold continues, but the birds and I are very happy that the snow ends today.๐Ÿ˜

  9. Your birds are more resilient than the Slaithwaite birdies. During our recent snowstorms we only saw a fat cheerful Mistle Thrush and the resident Black-Headed Gulls.

    1. The birds and I will be so excited to hang out together in warmer weather and the birds in your area must have been shocked to see so much snow this winter.๐Ÿ™‚

      1. Yes, I think they were. We do usually get a bit, but have had more sporadic, then prolonged bursts all year. Winters were always bad up here years ago, before I was born. Folk were snowed in for weeks at a time, but the climate seems to have changed.
