    1. Thank you!πŸ™‚ There are two swan nests on the lake and with so little color right now, I was happy to discover one of the nests had a colorful background.πŸ™‚

  5. A fine collection, and the take off/walking on water shot is quite something! Must be good to be back on the water – hopefully, you’ll be enjoying the kayak this weekend.

  10. Our spring is yet to arrive β€” it’s wonderful to imagine through your photos what it will be like when it finally puts in an appearance. the weathered log is particularly striking β€” I see several imagined creatures in its sleek design. πŸ™‚

  11. Stunning series of photos, ACI, each one is a beautiful story of different stages of spring. That mallard in the air is ballet, a masterful photo. The driftwood is thought-provoking, and looks so much to me like a moose who got in a little too deep. The crocus, such a statement of strength and beauty. Enjoyed the swans and the geese, and the buffleheads taking off is stunning. Thanks for sharing this beautiful week of nature and life, my friend. It is easy to see you get your peace from nature.

    1. Thank you so much and I’m glad you enjoyed the photos from our first week of spring!😁 The ducks are always a challenge to capture since they never allow me to paddle very close, but I think I have developed a clear understanding of the comfort zone with the swans and geese over the years. They are always happy to remind me each year.πŸ™‚ It was wonderful to finally be out in the kayak and see which birds returned for another summer on the lake.πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you!πŸ™‚ I always wonder what I’m going to see out on the water when I go kayaking and I’m hoping one of these days an eagle will decide that the driftwood is a great place to rest.😁
