  1. Great photos and song choice! A UB40 was the card issued to you when you were “on the dole” – unemployed – in the UK back in the 80s. I remember signing on when I left school and was looking for work, ended up moving back to London to get a job.

    1. Thank you!πŸ™‚ I was surprised to discover when I was looking up the lyrics that the song was originally written and performed by Neil Diamond in 1967 and then I was really surprised reading your comment to discover that I had no idea the meaning of the band name for a song I still blast on the radio after 35 years. Thank you for sharing the information and story and somehow I must have always been distracted by thoughts of red wine while listening to this song all these years.😁

    1. I’m not sure if I can blame it on molting, but I’ve been really surprised to have the cardinals stay when I’m in the yard the last few weeks. I’ve never had a summer where I have been able to take this many photos of cardinals.πŸ™‚

      1. I read that they molt in Aug/Sept. Soon they’ll have fresh plumage to get them through the winter.

    1. Thank you!πŸ™‚ Cardinals are also a favorite of mine and it’s been wonderful the last few weeks to have two of them that enjoy company and do not fly away immediately.πŸ™‚
