The Week In Seven Photos

It was another week of fall celebrations with the return of NHL hockey, October playoff baseball, fall colors and a Halloween Classic Car show.

It’s a beautiful time of the year to cruise Main Street

and the back roads while paying special attention to the slowly changing colors

and monsters lurking around every corner.

After such a fright, it was a little spooky walking around listening to the quiet rustling of leaves falling and squirrels scampering and wondering what was following us.

Between the scary stories I was telling Gabby and constantly looking over my shoulder, we got a little lost and had to stop and ask for directions and then Gabby quickly dragged me back to town.

The monsters followed us into town and they were everywhere, but thankfully Gabby was more fascinated with the little children trick-or-treating in their adorable Halloween costumes and stopping for candy at every classic car.

  1. It is fascinating to see how much Halloween is celebrated in your town. πŸ™‚ It is a non-event here in Cape Town.
    Lovely fall colours too. πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you!πŸ™‚ Last year they estimated $9 billion would be spent on the holiday and with rain predicted every day in our extended forecast, I’ll probably be sharing more skeletons and pumpkins than fall colors.😁

      1. Gosh! I cannot process that – the money or the rain! We have now entered our dry season . . .

      2. We have never dealt with drought conditions and I wish we could share the rain. Gabby demands a new Halloween costume every year and it’s impossible to make it through the month without buying Halloween candy and then buying more when it does not last until Halloween.πŸŽƒ

    1. Thank you!πŸ™‚ Gabby’s little toes have been twitching while she’s sleeping all week and I hope she’s only dreaming about chasing that turkey and not monsters chasing her. Enjoy the weekend!πŸ™‚

  4. I like the cuter side of Halloween (little kids and candy) and not so much the really scary stuff. Enough to give one nightmares!
