The Week In Seven Photos

The fall colors were outstanding last weekend, but with each passing day it was becoming more difficult to find colorful areas to hang out.

Hoping each week for another outing, I’m still being stubborn about putting away the kayaks, but once they are covered with snow today I may have to finally rethink that decision.

I haven’t seen anyone sitting outdoors for weeks, but it’s also been difficult to finally put away the deck furniture.

The election stress and nonstop political pundit opinions had me hanging out in the wine aisle again and

I was glad the voters chose a path of checks and balances.

There was a thought earlier in the week to spend time this weekend photographing the remaining fall colors covered in snow, but

there’s a great chance that I will be wrapped up in a blanket with a glass of wine and one of my favorite guys, Jack Reacher, after this week’s release of Lee Child’s latest novel.  It’s so much fun to hang out with Reacher that it may be difficult to set the book aside long enough to watch the Notre Dame/Florida St. game and the Manchester United/Manchester City match.

  1. Thank you for the beautiful fall colours, which I love. 😀
Enjoy your book. 🙂 It is one of the nicest things to sit comfortably with a good book. 🙂

    1. Thank you!🙂 I’m really going to miss all the color when we transition into our gray days, but there was a beautiful mixture of snow and fall colors for a few hours today. I’ve been watching the calendar waiting for the release of the latest Jack Reacher novel and it arrived on the perfect weekend for staying indoors with a good book.📖🙂

    1. Each day there are more bare trees, but there was still a wonderful mixture of fall colors covered with snow today.🙂

      1. In Maine, we now have the somber colors of the oaks. October’s brilliance is gone.

      2. Our snow was covered with oak leaves this morning after a very windy night. I now need it to snow again to cover those leaves.😁

    1. Thank you!🙂 I love snow during November and December, but by the end of January my opinion drastically changes.🙂

  4. Seems like the perfect weekend to sit by the fire with a glass and a good book – I hope the Manchester match up is a thriller, with more than sheep thrills going for it. Moanrihno will entertain in his postgame interview, no matter what the result…
And yes, the election results were a corrective step and check in the right direction.
    Have a great weekend!

    1. I’m hoping some great football will keep me from finishing the book this weekend and already beginning the wait for the next one, but I have a feeling I won’t be able to resist Reacher. I’m still trying to understand the combination of the Champions/Premier Leagues and I’m hoping for another exciting Manchester United match after their great win against Ronaldo and Juventus. After Mourinho’s parting hand gesture after that match, I decided to save the bottle of Sheep Thrills to celebrate Manchester United’s win or Mourinho drama on Sunday.😁

  5. I so enjoyed this thoughtful transition into winter, ACI, as I always do enjoy your week in review. Gorgeous changing colors in the trees there, and a fun nod to the Election Day tornado, as you gradually acknowledge the imminent cold season and its cozy aspects. Beautiful photos of the trees. Have a fun weekend–

  7. Trying hard to imagine snow on brilliant autumn leaf colours. That would cheer me up after an unsatisfactory (for me anyway) Man U v City result.

    1. We had a few days of a beautiful autumn/winter mix, but now it definitely looks like winter. I was hoping for a great match after Man United’s win over Juventus and was very disappointed with the match and loss.
