All of the outdoor photography plans this week unraveled on a daily basis due to the rainy weather,
uncooperative birds,
and spring flowers refusing to bloom in the snow. Luckily the flowers indoors and
Harper’s first Easter bunny brightened the dreary days.
The chewing continues along with a new desire to sprint away and hide at a moments notice. I’ve already discovered a variety of things with a young puppy that has me feeling my age and I told her I’m too old for hide and seek. Harper’s favorite spot to hide is under the kitchen table and I’ve tried to tell her that after years of making it clear I prefer to not be in the kitchen she needs to find a new hiding spot, but so far she’s showing a little bit of a stubborn streak.
Our old friend is roaming around the yard daily and visiting the truck with his game face. He delivered a few knockout jabs at the bumper, but nothing like Alex Ovechkin’s knockout punch in the beginning of the great hockey playoff season this year. I was hoping the Capitals and Maple Leafs would sweep their opponents in the first round, but unfortunately it was the teams, the New York Islanders and Columbus Blue Jackets, that they will face in the next round if they win that accomplished that feat.
We’ve had plenty of April showers that will be continuing this weekend, so luckily I have the latest book in the David Baldacci Amos Decker series, Redemption, favorite magazines and plenty to channel-surf (hockey playoffs, Tottenham vs. Manchester City, Everton vs. Manchester United, season five of Bosch on Amazon Prime) between puppy patrol.
