The Week In Seven Photos

All of the outdoor photography plans this week unraveled on a daily basis due to the rainy weather,

uncooperative birds,

and spring flowers refusing to bloom in the snow.  Luckily the flowers indoors and

Harper’s first Easter bunny brightened the dreary days.

The chewing continues along with a new desire to sprint away and hide at a moments notice.  I’ve already discovered a variety of things with a young puppy that has me feeling my age and I told her I’m too old for hide and seek.  Harper’s favorite spot to hide is under the kitchen table and I’ve tried to tell her that after years of making it clear I prefer to not be in the kitchen she needs to find a new hiding spot, but so far she’s showing a little bit of a stubborn streak.

Our old friend is roaming around the yard daily and visiting the truck with his game face.  He delivered a few knockout jabs at the bumper, but nothing like Alex Ovechkin’s knockout punch in the beginning of the great hockey playoff season this year.  I was hoping the Capitals and Maple Leafs would sweep their opponents in the first round, but unfortunately it was the teams, the New York Islanders and Columbus Blue Jackets, that they will face in the next round if they win that accomplished that feat.

We’ve had plenty of April showers that will be continuing this weekend, so luckily I have the latest book in the David Baldacci Amos Decker series, Redemption, favorite magazines and plenty to channel-surf (hockey playoffs, Tottenham vs. Manchester City, Everton vs. Manchester United, season five of Bosch on Amazon Prime) between puppy patrol.

    1. Thank you!😁 It was one of those weeks that I thought I wasn’t going to accomplish the seven photos, but the bird’s bum saved the day!😁 Harper has been a handful and an absolute joy and we laugh that she has already taken over the house. Every day has been wonderful watching her personality develop.🙂

  4. So much to smile about here. The turkey is being a turkey, Harper is too cute, and I love the mug.
The Flames didn’t catch fire – disappointed! – but perhaps the Leafs and the Jets will extend their seasons? I have to say, I’m not too hopeful about the Everton/MUFC game! On the plus side, we’ve had a sunny day today, with more tomorrow.
    Enjoy your long weekend!

    1. Thank you!🙂 I’m running out of teams to cheer in the Western Conference and I hope the Jets recover from the Blues scoring that early goal. I’ve never been a fan of the Avalanche since their rivalry with the Red Wings in the 90s and I don’t think I want Toronto or Washington playing the Golden Knights in the finals. Enjoy your weekend!🙂
