The Week In Seven Photos

The beautiful month of May is one of my favorites here in Michigan and it closely rivals my favorite, but nothing is better than September and the beginning of football season.

Festival season begins in May and leading the way is the Holland Tulip Festival that begins this weekend

and after all those April showers

there should be brilliant displays of color throughout the month.

The air is filled with the songs of dashing birds,

which is wonderful to hear except when you are trying to potty train a puppy. Β Every little tweet and gust of wind is constantly distracting Harper and I’m hoping one of her friends can help with the training during their playdates.

Harper’s sweet friend has been kind enough to share his toys and bed, but not everyone was in a sharing mood this week.

  2. Beautiful spring flowers, and I love the photo of the orange bird with the blue background particularly. πŸ˜€
And I’m happy to hear little Harper is learning how to socilaise – looks like one patient bigger dog there. πŸ˜€

    1. Thank you!πŸ™‚ While we have been off to a rainy start this month, it’s been wonderful to have the flowers and cardinals offering beautiful color and we have a perfect weather weekend coming up.πŸ™‚ It took a few weeks, but Harper’s friend has finally been won over with kisses and no jumping and is now willing to share his toys and bed. Although, Harper would love to sleep right next to him, but so far he has kept her at arms length.😁

      1. We could still do with some of your rain! πŸ™‚
And I’m glad Harper managed to work her charms on the big dog. πŸ™‚

  3. Hooray for May! Surely time for more sunshine and life outdoors? Lovely to hear how Harper is doing, and what a picture of her and her friend – just beats out the bird feeder confrontation!
    Have a great weekend!

    1. Thank you!πŸ™‚ It took awhile for Harper’s buddy to share her enthusiasm about their new friendship, but he is beginning to adore her. Thrilled it’s May and there may actually be a chance for some kayaking this weekend. If not, with the nice weather we will be spending more time outdoors with Harper and I hope the bird convention in my backyard is a little quieter. Enjoy your weekend!πŸ™‚
