It was one of those rare weeks when some of the rules I abide by were thrown out the window when one of my favorite guys, Jimmy Buffett, came to town.

All of a sudden the introvert that dislikes the hot and humid weather, going to parties and striking up conversations with many strangers was thrilled to be having a fantastic time with my niece, at her first Jimmy Buffett concert, wandering through a sweltering parking lot and chatting (briefly, I didn’t completely lose my mind) with other Parrotheads with the best t-shirt and

Jeep of the day

at one of the greatest street parties

and concerts in the world.

This year Jimmy Buffett was celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Son Of A Son Of A Sailor album and his fans were celebrating all their favorite songs and news of a new album soon.  I’m pretty sure that this couple’s favorite song is Cheeseburger In Paradise.

and, of course, I saw many signs for one of my favorites, It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere.

This fabulous event is one of those days where whatever is going on in life can be forgotten as you escape to Margaritaville

and feel like your living on island time for a few hours

enjoying tropical punch

or a shotski

and the great Jimmy Buffett vibes because really “if we weren’t all crazy, we would go insane!”
