The Week In Seven Photos

A new day with thoughts of

the wonderful pumpkin cheesecake pie with bruleed meringue leaves that the backyard gang enjoyed

while I wondered on another Thanksgiving day why the turkey dinner at the bakery always looks more delicious than mine.

With the new day we have a quick transition to a new holiday season

where Santa is eagerly awaiting your phone calls

and letters.

I’ve started my letter to Santa since I could not carry all of these books to the counter, but I did manage to add The World That We Knew by Alice Hoffman, Lost In The Spanish Quarter by Heddi Goodrich and The Dutch House by Ann Patchett to my library.

  1. I can’t imagine what it must be like to go straight from Thanksgiving to Christmas. Just having one thing going on is enough for me. πŸ˜€

    1. 😁. One good thing about the quick transition is that I’m no longer receiving strange looks over the Christmas music blasting from my Jeep and I can now begin sharing a few great Elvis Christmas songs on my blog.😁

And I also play them in July – which is my winter!! πŸ˜€

    1. I have a wonderful stack of books waiting to be read next to my favorite chair, but sometimes you just have to add one more to the library in case it’s a really long winter.πŸ“–πŸ˜

  5. Great first photo, and loved the phone box! I hope it’s a long, snowy winter, if only so you can put a dent in the reading pile…
    Enjoy the weekend!

    1. Thank you and always love when I’m surprised by a British phone box!😁 At the rate I’m going with adding books to the library, I need another snow storm very soon to keep me from another trip to the bookstore!πŸ“–πŸ˜ Enjoy the weekend and Tottenham just scored!!😁

      1. I dream of being in the UK, as well…sans their politics. That being said, I dream of a US sans politics. πŸ™„πŸ˜–
