The Week In Seven Photos

As the year winds down with the final full moon of the decade this week,

I find myself unable, or too tired, to sum up the year or decade since some days the only thing I felt I knew for certain was my coffee order at Starbucks.

No matter how much light was shined on a variety of topics,

which I thought I had a fair understanding of with my Liberal Arts education,

who could have predicted so much of what has occurred this decade.

‘Tis the season for miracles, so I’ll toast the future and hope that it’s as bright as the holiday lights, but, just in case,

I’ll continue to wander and search for simple moments of enjoyment to brighten the days.

  1. Amen, sister! Beautifully put. Who could have predicted the craziness of this decade?

    1. Thank you!😁 My vertigo has flared up again and now I’m thinking it’s a result of a decade of shaking my head daily in disbelief.🙂

      1. What is happening now is enough to throw anyone off balance.

    1. Thank you!😁 Harper keeps trying to add a puppuccino to the order, but I told her she has to wait until her first birthday!😁

    1. I’ve never bought into that phrase that 50 is the new 30, but as fast as this decade has flown by, I think I did miss a few years and maybe 52 is the new 49.😁 I always enjoy the year end “best of” lists so I can add more books and movies to my want to read/watch lists and even though I haven’t seen many lists about the decade, I’m curious about how it will be remembered in many areas.🙂

  5. Another great post! After the UK election result (another disappointment) I could easily while away a few hours in O’Connor’s pub…
I hope your weekend is a good one – stay away from the news, and all will be well!

    1. Thank you!🙂 I’m afraid we are going to see the same results as the UK and I hope I don’t spend too much time at the pub (unless I’m celebrating in November) in what is going to be very, very, very long election year. I’ll keep reading and watching the news to try to understand these times, while I cheer on Man Utd against Everton tomorrow! Enjoy the weekend!🙂

  6. True sentiments, am right with you on this. The world this decade has been a crazy place and not geared up for introverts. UK right now is in turmoil, what with another term of Tories 😟 and the BREXIT nightmare/mystery and endless rain. Fab pic of Harper sussing out the coffee in her fab little coat.

    1. Thank you!🙂 As we enter a new decade I keep wondering if everything seems different because I’m looking at the world now through middle aged eyes or things have changed so quickly and drastically this decade that my introvert nature is completely out of touch.🙂
