Happy to report that 2020 began on a beautiful note

and thankfully isn’t flying by too fast at this point,

since at this age one really doesn’t want the days to pass in a blur.

The year is in its very early stages of trying to walk a fine path of optimism and because I don’t want anyone to judge if my Baileys on ice glass remains at half full,

we will be referring to these early months as either the lake ice is half full,

half empty

or add another drop of Baileys and an ice cube into my glass while I further ponder the state of my optimism.
