The Week In More Than Seven Photos

Iโ€™ve realized after the last few weeks that our wonderful parks need to add signs for some trail walkers.

The first new sign should say Caution Muddy Path May Be Very Slippery And Cause Some To Slip and Do The Splits.

Itโ€™s amazing when you constantly become distracted by slick mud how easy it is to almost bump into a sandhill crane on the trails.

Things do get a little looney on the trails and thinking back on one of my favorite cartoons

I thought another appropriate sign should say โ€œBe Vewy Vewy Quietโ€ because every time you shriek โ€œthereโ€™s a fawnโ€

it causes disapproving looks

and more photos of their cute little white tails than their adorable spots and ears.

Of course, the local wildlife would also like a few signs added including Parental Warning: Do Not Follow Us Down This Path and

Only Kind Souls With Snacks Allowed On This Trail.

      1. You bet! I worked grounds maintenance in Lapeer for 20 years and learned to spot that type of ivy, it crawls up trees and can get huge, or grows out of the ground. Nasty stuff!

    1. Thank you!๐Ÿ™‚ I donโ€™t recall the last time everything has been this green in July and itโ€™s raining again today!! I love walking the paths in step with the cranes, but the little introverts always let me know when theyโ€™ve had enough of my company.๐Ÿ™‚

  9. Here’s looking at you, kid. That crane has some very red eyes. Let’s hope Elmer Fudd stays away from him as well as that scwewy wabbit. Excellent photos.
