What an exciting week to be a Bryce Harper and Washington Nationals fan. The Nationals have won nine of their last eleven games, are finally a game over .500 (16-15), and Bryce Harper is tying and setting records on a daily basis. Today’s game between the Nationals and Atlanta Braves was won on a 2-run walk-off home run by Bryce Harper, giving the Nationals an 8-6 victory and 6 home runs and 12 RBIs for Harper over the last three games. Enjoy the video of his walk-off home run.
Prior to today’s game in which he added his sixth home run in three games, he became the first player in Nationals/Expos history to hit five home runs in two games and the youngest Major League Baseball player in a two-game span at 22 years old to hit five home runs (last player to do so was Mark McGwire). Enjoy the video of his six home runs over three games.
During this amazing stretch, the Nationals have been on a home run terror by winning Friday night’s game against Atlanta 9-2, with all nine runs coming from home runs by Bryce Harper (2), Danny Espinosa (2) and Jayson Werth (1) and today’s game where seven of the eight runs were a result of home runs. Enjoy the video of Harper, Espinosa and Werth home runs.
The Nationals are now within three games of the New York Mets and Harper is leading the National League with 11 home runs. Enjoy another Bryce Harper highlight.
