The warm-up week leading up to the 21st Woodward Dream Cruise being held this Saturday, August 15th has been outstanding. We have seen thousands of beautiful cars cruising Woodward Avenue, the food and beverages has been excellent and the weather has been very good other than a little rain (surprisingly, we discovered our car actually did not melt in the rain).

It is hard to imagine what the scene will look like on Saturday, since the streets have been bumper-to-bumper with classic cars and the curbs have been lined with classic car enthusiasts since Sunday. In addition to the amazing cars we have seen on the road, we were also lucky enough to have perfect clouds that reflected wonderfully off a gorgeous blue GTO, a rainbow join the cruise and a gorgeous night sky as we were heading home.
My husband has almost given up after a few days of trying to show me the best cars on the road and attempting to further my automotive education as I continually miss great shots of cars and engines and instead seem to have shots of Ted joining the cruise this year and the coolest dogs found cruising Woodward.
One wonderful part of the Woodward cruise is that there is something for everyone. Some people like their cars low to the ground while others try to reach for the sky.
Then there are those who love flames and other fantastic color schemes.
Also, let’s not forget the engines that not only roar, but also make a statement.
There are always too many to choose from, but after a couple of nights these are a few of my favorite classic cars out warming up for the Woodward Dream Cruise.
