Creative expression, whether that means writing, dancing, bird-watching, or cooking, can give a person almost everything that he or she has been searching for:  enlivenment, peace, meaning, and the incalculable wealth of time spent quietly in beauty.

  1. I like this author very much. Recently I found a book of hers on faith and spirituality which is also rich.

  3. Ah, love the photos, ACI, so much solitude, and I love the quote. I have always liked Anne Lamott’s writing, just kind of got out of touch with her. Thanks for the reminder….

    1. Thank you! I think the cardinal was looking at me in puzzlement and wondering why I’m disturbing his solitude and outside in this freezing weather. The quote was also a reminder to me that I haven’t read anything by her in a few years and, of course, I had to add one of the books I missed to my library today. Always appreciate and enjoy your comments and I’m glad you liked the photos and quote.

    1. Thank you! We are lucky to have these wonderful birds for the winter providing much needed color on the gray days and also a continuing challenge to photograph.
