  1. A wee trip down memory lane for me with the Stray Cats. Thank you. ๐ŸŒผ

    1. I love this song and when I heard it on the radio over the weekend I knew I needed to find a photo for the song. When I saw this green heron the next day for the first time and his wild feathers, I thought the song suited him. The Brian Setzer Orchestra Christmas Rocks tour comes to town every year and I’ve always been tempted to go.

  2. woo-hoo! Great shake-it-baby song to wake this morning up. The heron was shaking up the waters, I see. Fun post, ACI.

    1. I’m so glad you enjoyed this great song to start the day!๐Ÿ™‚ The green heron is a new visitor to the lake and this was my first opportunity to photograph this new bird. After watching all his fancy moves, twists and turns while he was preening his feathers, I knew he would be a fan of this song.๐Ÿ™‚

    1. He was so busy preening his feathers that he took no notice of anything going on around him. I have many, many photos where the feathers looked perfect, but I loved this look for the song.๐Ÿ™‚

  8. I thought maybe this was a shot from Costa Rica, that’s the only place I’ve seen a green heron.

    1. They are in Michigan during the summer, but this was the first time I’ve seen and photographed the green heron. I would have missed him if he had not flown by my kayak yelling at me for invading his territory.๐Ÿ™‚

  9. The heron’s got a quiff, a bit like the Stray Cats. Nice combination.
