I Wonder If The Snow Loves The Trees

I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? Ā And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, “Go to sleep, darlings, till summer comes again.”

Lewis Carroll – Through the Looking-Glass

  1. Beautiful photo and verse. I love cardinals, especially in winter. It’s their contrast next to the barren landscape, I think.

    1. Thank you!šŸ™‚ Every winter I can be found running around the backyard hoping to capture a beautiful cardinal in the snow. Every evening once daylight disappears we have a large group at the bird feeder enjoying the bird seed knowing they won’t be bothered.šŸ™‚
