this might sound cruel but if you have a basement or barn with a mouse problem put a trap out.Once dispatched,put it on a post.Keep a eye out for activity.Even If you miss it being taken,It’ll come back to that spot to check for more.I bet any Owl’s around would be pleased as punch for a winters snack as well.They need more caloric food in the winter.The cold demands more energy to keep warm & so more food.

Over the last couple of weeks, I have heard an owl at night and would love to bribe him to visit. Any chance I could convince them they might like peanuts? I’m not a fan of dealing with mice, so I’m just going to hope that the hawk is telling everyone in the neighborhood how much fun it was to hang out with me.😁
