Thankful Thursday

After listening to Patti Smith in a podcast earlier in the week talk about simplistic gratitude, I decided to add a new Thankful Thursday theme to the blog schedule. Today I’m thankful for the Biggby Coffee Cookies & Cream Sweet Foam Cold Brew…individuals and communities that organize summer events…a hoodie weather day this week before the heatwave arrived…my STIHL battery garden pruner…laughter…Harper forgiving me for this photo and that the bird that pooped on me after this shot missed my hair…

    I’m officially on a blogging break, but when I saw the title of this post, I had to comment. I, too, have been thinking of adding a Thankful Thursday theme to my blogging schedule. I follow a blog called The Frugal Girl, and she does this every Thursday. Practicing gratitude can only be a good thing, and today I am thankful that the electrician is here installing a charger for my daughter’s new electric car, which should be here by the end of the month. Hot dog! It will be wicked good to have an electric car.

      I love Patti Smith and when I heard her say that she even thanks her toothbrush and socks, I knew I wanted to bring more gratitude into my days of simple living. I’ve been looking forward to your return to blogging and how exciting to have a new electric car!🙂
