Egg Rolls, Coffee and Alligators

The spring birding/nesting season outings have not gone as planned, other than the adorable sandhill crane, and after discovering there has been an alligator sighting at our favorite park, Iโ€™m beginning to think between all the bird and wildlife drama

you may only be seeing food truck

and coffee photos for awhile. After the fantastic corned beef egg rolls from Egg Roll Diva and the wonderful Flower Child Cold Brew coffee from June Bird Coffee Co.,

Iโ€™m trying to decide if itโ€™s possible to have a coffee and egg rolls diet for the summer while forgoing the nature trails. I had no idea I would ever have a blog post with this title any more than discovering all the drama that exists in the bird world.

  2. Corned beef egg roll? Yes, please! There’s no way a gator could survive a Michigan winter…

    1. The egg rolls and dipping sauce were delicious!! They had a whole team of departments out at Kent Lake in Kensington looking for the alligator, but so far not another sighting. With that big of search party, they must believe one is out there and Iโ€™m not going back until they catch him.๐Ÿ™‚

      1. I love that park! I played a lot of disc golf tournaments there years ago. I wonder who let the pet gator go? That’s ridiculous, the park has to be closed until they capture or kill the thing.

      2. Itโ€™s my favorite park and they have signs up warning visitors and I have the same reaction to those signs as I do the rattlesnake warnings at Indian Springs Metropark – I donโ€™t hang out with alligators or rattlesnakes!๐Ÿ˜

      3. You are very wise! Even more so if children are involved. This reminds me of the terrible snake problem in the Everglades today thanks to people letting their pet snakes loose. Ridiculous!

  3. It is a most unusual title you are right. I hope they round up the alligator before long.

    1. I have to be dragged into the reptile conservation center when visiting our zoo and there is no way Iโ€™m hanging out with alligators at my favorite park!! They had members from several departments, including the zoo, searching the area with drones, ATVs, boats and a helicopter. Squirrels have scared me along the paths, I canโ€™t imagine running into an alligator.๐Ÿ˜ฑ
