The 2015 NFL Season officially begins in our house today with the return of Peyton Manning for his 18th season hopefully leading the Denver Broncos to a Super Bowl victory over Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys (we are done talking about our MLB World Series dream, Nationals/Tigers, which did not end well). Both teams have big games today with the Broncos playing the Baltimore Ravens at 4:00 and the Cowboys playing their division rivals, New York Giants, at 8:30 tonight on NBC. For the rest of the year, Sundays will be spent watching Manning, Romo, NFL Sunday Ticket and ordering pizza. If our top-tier teams are off or playing on Thursday or Monday, then our second tier teams, consisting of the New York Giants, Indianapolis Colts, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, and Detroit Lions, will take center stage. There are those in the household who have a different opinion on who should be in the Super Bowl and what teams should be in the top-tier, but the blogger controlling the remote control for NFL Sunday Ticket seems to have decided this is not a household of football democracy. Hopefully by the end of today, we will add celebrating Manning and Romo victories to the wins yesterday by Notre Dame, University of Michigan and the MSU Spartans.
