What is it about the sight of a solitary leaf, an individual chair, an empty pier and a lone fisherman and sailor that brings such a feeling of admiration at the beauty and quiet strength of being at peace with yourself when you are alone and away from the noise of the world.   A morning walk on a deserted beach brings simple thoughts of introvert joy at seeing a leaf who may be thinking thank god I have a moment away from the mass of leaves crowding me with their nonstop rustling.  The beach chair that has staked its quiet space and is inviting you to sit, relax and enjoy the silence and magnificence of sunrise.  The empty pier that invites you along its path to witness the calm waters and admire the seagulls spreading their wings in morning flight.  The lone fisherman and the sailor, who after a summer of entertaining guests, finally has the boat and morning to themselves.  The peace and silence of these solitary figures remind us that this precious time alone that overwhelms us with beauty, gratitude and wonder at the simple quiet times of life can slip away as fast as the morning sunrise.
