Birds and Snowflakes

One could almost forget the cold on this gray January day watching the snowflakes falling while visiting these beautiful birds that are being cared for at a Nature Center due to injuries leaving them unable to be returned to the wild.  The birds seemed curious about their visitors, but made it quite clear they were unwilling to share their heat lamps and mice.

To appreciate the beauty of a snowflake, it is necessary to stand out in the cold.

  1. Stunning photos! But how mean of them not to share their mice! 🙂
We have a World of Birds sanctuary here that cares for injured wild birds. It’s a lovely place to visit. 🙂

    1. Thank you! The adorable kestrel in the first photo made it clear by shaking his mouse at us that he would not be sharing. It was our first visit and I look forward to visiting again.
