    OMG, ACI, you got me laughing here with that video clip. This old song (which I have on my iPod) hardly ever comes up anymore, even though it is SO fun. I love this silly tribute to the word “bird,” and your photos are absolutely stunning. That bald eagle face is oh so striking. Thanks for the bird party here, great fun and beauty too.

      I haven’t been able to get this song out of my head since watching the video and I loved the avian news intro. We use to have a great oldies station that I would hear this song on, but now our local oldies station plays music from my youth. Another reminder how time flies. Thanks for your wonderful comment and I’m glad you enjoyed the bird party.

    No words, just birds. And very nice birds too. The only words were in the clip. Years ago, In Britain, there was a TV programme called The Word. It had the same tune. But a different type of bird.

      Surfin’ Bird is one of those great old songs that just demands to be turned up loud on the radio and before you know it you can’t stop your head from bopping back and forth.
