In the summer I love kayaking or biking early in the morning when the lake and streets are quiet and peaceful. I’m hoping to stretch these favorite summer activities through November.🙂

Thank you!🙂 I loved that photo of the heron and was originally going to do a post on an amateur birder who thought she found a heron choking on a fish instead of panting to cool off.😎 I learn something new every time I watch them and at one point I think he was just laughing at me. What a joyful week of summer, ACI, with the kayak adventure, gorgeous great blue herons and hummingbird. The red dragonfly on the Adirondack chair says nothing but summer. And the sunflowers, my favorite photo here, say love and light and glory — the petal shadows are brilliant. lovely post.

Thank you so much!🙂 My mother gave me the sunflowers after Gabby’s surgery and in between making sure she does not pull out her stitches and watching all the great football games, I have been taking many, many photos of the sunflowers. I’ve enjoyed it so much that I’m going to spend more time on this and start a growler and flower series.
