November

The turkeys are trying to find a place to hide.

The squirrels are preparing for winter.

The deer are keeping their heads low and looking for a place to hide.

Great college football games – Notre Dame vs. Miami this Saturday night!

After countless bags of leaves, waiting for the last leaf to drop!

Color and snow.

  1. A fabulous set of autumn photographs! I hope the turkeys get through the next couple of months without a roasting, and the deer only experience camera shots…
Enjoy the football and the weekend!

    1. Thank you and I’m hoping the deer and turkeys continue to hide out in our backyard!πŸ™‚ The turkeys visit every year, but this was the first time I saw them in the trees and flying. I was not expecting the ruckus they created when they started flying and completely missed taking the photo. Looking forward to the big game tomorrow and Notre Dame hopefully playing in the College Football Playoff this year. Enjoy your weekend!

    1. I’m excited about the big game tonight, but it appears Gabby wants to avoid my football commentary and plans on sleeping through the game.πŸˆπŸ™‚

  4. I so enjoyed this wintry collection of scenes, ACI, your photos are such a pleasure. I love the mass of pine cones, the snow on the colored leaves, Gabby getting ready for the game, and my favorite: the turkeys in the tree.

    1. Thank you and I’m so glad you enjoyed this collection!πŸ™‚ Starting in September, Gabby and I have to dodge the squirrels trying to drop the pine cones on us every morning in the driveway and I love when they finally begin collecting and placing them around the trees. For some reason, the sight of those pine cones always makes me smile along with the sight of turkeys in a tree or watching them run or fly.πŸ™‚
