Thank you!🙂 I might be ready to buy a birding journal, that was my first photo this year of a tree swallow in flight and my first shot of a yellow-rumped warbler (hopefully I identified them right).😁

As a child I loved birds, and in the last year or two, the bird world has been drawing me back in. Obviously regressing back to childhood as I age – but with less sharp eyes I really struggle to make a confident identification. Bald eagle, yup, no problem, same with a heron, but anything smaller, and I’m guessing. I’d do ok in Australia with emus.
All of which is a rambling way of saying I think your identification is spot on! -
It was fun to capture my first photo of a warbler, but I need a lot more practice identifying and photographing the little birds. I had more blurry shots standing in the park than trying to photograph birds in the kayak. The Stokes Field Guide to the Birds of North America book is helping tremendously with the identification and I did order my first birding journal.😁

The first bird is a red-winged blackbird, next is a yellow-rumped warbler and I believe the other two are shots of a tree swallow. It was exciting to capture my first photo of a warbler and I’m still hoping to see a Kirtland’s Warbler this spring. I bought my first birding journal this week to help with identifying and tracking the little birds.🙂
