The Week In Seven Photos

I love the change of the seasons and especially the arrival of fall.  As the final days of summer drifted away this week, I could feel the gradual shift to the autumn palette of colors.

The colors of summer were transitioning to deep shades of beauty.  The water was a deeper blue

and the birds were swaying in reeds and plants with autumn tones shimmering with

harvest highlights and crimson hues.

On the water the kaleidoscope of colors change with each turn of the kayak and the swirling colors sweep past as fast as the feathers.

The eye will behold the last summer flowers mingling with the falling leaves

and nature’s vibrant colors will be the background to the celebration of a spectacular season of cider mills, hoodies, cozy blankets, coffee on cool mornings and nature’s artistic display.

    Beautiful. 🙂
I prefer autumn and spring (even if they are very short seasons here) to summer or winter. 🙂

    1. Thank you!🙂 Our temperature was still in the 80s and muggy on this last day of summer and after the cold front moves through tonight it will be wonderful to have it look and feel like autumn tomorrow. Enjoy your weekend!🙂

A wonderful combination of words and photographs to capture the beauty of transitioning to fall! Yes, hoodies and cups of coffee – the right armour to meet autumnal mornings fully prepared.
    Have a great weekend!

    1. Thank you!🙂 After another hot and muggy summer day, I’m so excited to have hoodie weather and autumn arrive tomorrow. It looks like it will be a perfect morning to enjoy the sunrise and a cup of coffee with temps in the 40s. I might have to wear both my Tottenham and Manchester United scarves if I decide to enjoy that sunrise in the kayak. Enjoy your weekend!🙂

I love to find white feathers 🙂 There’s so much of interest in all seasons, but the transition to autumn has to be a favourite, even though I’ve lived through a weird autumn/winter for the last month.

    1. I’m enjoying the transition on the lake where there are more birds and feathers than people and boats. I love autumn and I was actually cold on Saturday and it was wonderful.🙂
