🙂Thank you!🙂 It was one of those great birdwatching mornings out on the lake where I rushed home afterwards and was thrilled to discover a majority of the photos of the red-winged blackbirds chasing the eagle were not blurry.🙂
what kind of bird is that? It almost looks like a type of Parrot? Eagles are constantly being attacked by other birds. Mostly Crows. Now that I look maybe it’s a red winged black bird?
A group of red-winged blackbirds were determined to keep the eagle away from their nesting area. Afterwards when I looked at a few of my blurry photos of the eagle flying right over my head, my first thought was of all your perfect shots of Daredevil flying toward you and hoping I have a chance at another fabulous morning like this paddling after an eagle.🙂
congratulations! It takes a lot of work but once you figure things out it does become easier! You did a excellent job! Very few of us search for Baldies. They are a tough bird to get close to…….takes years!
This would not work since my niece keeps her distance when I’m photographing the swans and definitely believes one of these days a swan is going to chase me around the lake.😁
ok,you can still make a single kayak with a outrigger and use a 2Hp electric engine side mounted. If you have a tandem you can keep the battery in the second compartment.
More than enough power to do what you want I bet.
yes,I think that would be the best idea. I paddle around in a canoe myself. I even have a small engine I can put on but haven’t done that in years. The best plans should always have simplicity.
😁Thank you!!😁 It was a wild morning out on the lake and with every click of the camera I wondered if any of the shots would turn out and was thrilled to discover this one wasn’t blurry.😁
As we would say in Maine, that is some picture. I think it even deserves a “wowsah!”

I’ll think about the electric engine or maybe a pedal kayak so I can always have the camera ready.🙂

ok,I understand…..it will be more money. Get a brand new engine, no secondhand stuff.
I assume you have a boating licence?

It was a beautiful morning today on the lake with little wind and I was able to paddle around with a cormorant, so I’m sticking with my kayak.😁

Awesome shot. I’ve seen little birds harassing bigger ones before, but never close enough for a picture and never with an eagle.

🙂Thank you!🙂 I had a chance for many shots as the red-winged blackbirds had the eagle flying in circles for about an hour.🙂
