Monday Musings – 50 Word Story

There’s clearly a disturbance in the atmosphere

casting a web of fear over our home

as Harper and I are afraid of the yard with bats circling and chirping above our heads in the evening

and fifty migrating grackles swarming throughout the day.

At least someone feels right at home.

Love the photos but in my opinion the frames are distracting.

The black and white gives an eerie effect, till you get to the last photo, where the little chap is perfectly happy. πŸ˜€

    1. Thank you!πŸ™‚ That little chap has had a wonderful summer roaming around the yard and thankfully he moves very fast and hides under the deck when he sees Harper.πŸ™‚

    1. 😁He’s going to be more than ready for winter hibernation and will actually be missed compared to the bats and grackles. Loved your comment, had no idea they were also called whistle-pigs.😁

Ooh aren’t you lucky to capture a shot of a bat. The combination of poor lighting and speed always get me. I love bats too. Nice eerie mood with dusk and a spiderweb. Has Halloween come early this year.

    1. It felt like Halloween last week between the eerie sky, storms and creepy visitors.😁 I’ve very slowly adjusted to the single bat that lives on our deck, but I’m tired of the birds and bats sending out invitations to all their friends. Six bats circling (only reason I captured a shot) me the other night and grackles and turkeys taking over the yard is too much.😁

      2. Currently only have one that has visited all summer and hopefully the rest will find a new hangout this winter.πŸ™‚
