The chilly early mornings in the park now require a vest and gloves
as we are welcomed in the solitude along the pond by only the company of a few remaining red-winged blackbirds
and sounds of leaves rustling
under Harper’s paws as she sets a steady pace along the paths.
I know we miss the warmth and flowers of summer, but as your pictures brilliantly illustrate, autumn is an oh so lovely month. That pond, those frosted leaves, and, of course, dear little Harper.

Thank you!🙂 Pretty soon I’m going to miss all the wonderful color, but I promise not to complain about our cold gray winter if we have great news after Election Day!🙂

I wish this wonderful blogging community could wrap the country in good karma, good wishes, magic spells, or whatever you want to call it, and zap this horrible administration right out of office, back to the swamps from which they came.

Thank you!🙂 I was happy with just the frost after seeing they set an October record for snow in the northern part of our state.🙂

The chilly beauty is captured here! Particularly the frost tinged leaves.

Thank you!🙂 After another day of yard work, it’s fine by me if it snows and covers the rest of the leaves on the ground. Watch out, Mourinho’s moving up the table!!😁

Beautiful autumn scenery. Nice to see the sun just poking through the trees in the top picture.

Thank you!🙂 It was surprising how quickly the morning light changed the colorful scenery before the sun and beautiful clouds just as quickly disappeared for the day.🙂
