The Week In Seven Photos

Harper was not convinced that freezing at sunrise and

being joined by a spectacular companion were our highlights of the week.

I always look forward to the first ice on the area lakes and I’m sure she’ll also become a fan,

but now that she realizes that she can scare away any birds that she sees,

I’m hoping she never learns to look toward the sky.

The week flew by between our sunriseย highlights and the great book The Searcherย by Tana French, the comedy series Stagedย starring favorites David Tennant and Michael Sheen and the wonderful Brian Cox in The Etruscan Smile.

According to Harper I got a little carried away not leaving enough playtime by adding more movies, Peppermint and a few Christmas favorites (Love The Coopers and Die Hard), and she has threatened to push me off the dock or eat the remote if this movie binge continues.ย

  1. Incredible beautiful. Especially the hawk! Or is that an eagle?

    1. Thank you!๐Ÿ™‚ That was the first time Iโ€™ve seen an eagle there and Iโ€™m hoping he joins us for another sunrise.๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. I was trying to tell Harper how exciting it was to have the eagle join us, but she has the same attitude about my photography as she does my binge-watching.๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ˜

  3. Like Eliza, I was a little afraid for Harper, too. That last picture is stunning!

  4. Lovely shots of chilly landscapes – and dog! I visited a friend the other day, and his tiny dog normally rushes out to meet and greet, but didnโ€™t this time. My buddy pointed over my head, and there just behind me on a low pole was a bald eagle. Sensible dog!
It isnโ€™t the season unless you watch Die Hard. Pretty much a perfectly constructed movie, Bruceโ€™s finest hour, and Alan Rickman is always a treat.
Thanks for the link to Staged – definitely following that up, three funny performances there!
    Enjoy the weekend!

    1. Thank you!๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™‚ I have to keep an eye on Harper since she has no fear of anything larger than her, but let her see a little bug and we have a full-blown panic attack. Thirty two years of Die Hard for the holidays (and countless times throughout the year) and it gets better every time!!! I love David Tennant and in addition to my binge-watching, Iโ€™m binge-listening his podcast. Wonderful episodes with Michael Sheen, Judi Dench and Brian Cox and I wish there had been more episodes in Staged!!! Hope Everton has a great match against Chelsea and Tottenham wins this weekend and is ready for Liverpool on Wednesday! Enjoy the weekend!๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Perhaps you need to include some dog movies into your binge viewing. MAX, A dogs purpose, Call of the wild or Beethoven. Then again Harper might be come addicted to them. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿฉ

    1. Harper does stop what sheโ€™s doing and watches tv whenever she hears a dog barking, but sheโ€™s going to have to choose another category since Iโ€™ve been crying through dog movies since I was a child.๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™‚
