Flowers and Movies

Sunshine and temperatures in the upper forties this week had me thinking about flowers and the 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards airing this Sunday evening has me thinking about movies.  As always, I’m behind on watching the first batch of nominees as we lead up to the Oscars in April.  Many more movies to watch, but these would be my early votes.

Nomadland – Best Motion Picture (Drama)

Frances McDormand (Nomadland) – Best Actress (Drama)

Chadwick Boseman (Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom) – Best Actor (Drama)

Hamilton – Best Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy)

Rosamund Pike (I Care a Lot )- Best Actress Musical or Comedy

Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton) – Best Actor (Musical or Comedy)

Soul – Best Motion Picture (Animated)

  1. I need to get watching. Right now I’m obsessed with “Call My Agent,” which I’ll be writing about for tomorrow’s post. But we’re coming down the homestretch with “Agent” and will move on soon.

Anyway, haven’t seen any of these yet. Nomadland is one to catch, or so I’ve read.

    1. Another great performance by Frances McDormand and she has been a favorite since Fargo. With many of my movies being delayed I was going to pout and skip awards season and I’m glad my little attitude adjustment worked or I would have missed some great movies.🙂
