Curious Wine Reviews

Photograph – 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon – North Coast

What Stopped Me In My Tracks In The Wine Aisle – Still love home delivery of the Sunday newspaper and I was searching for Photograph in the wine aisle after seeing it in the Target Weekly Ad, which has always been a favorite.

What Attracted Me To The Wine/Label – The name immediately brought to mind a favorite hobby and rock band and, of course, once I saw the wine named Photograph in the ad, I had a very important reason for a shopping trip to Target. “A snapshot. A moment in time. A memory we long to capture forever. Photographs are proof that once, even if just for a heartbeat, everything was perfect.”

What Else Attracted Me To The Wine Label – The fabulous photograph (by Dino Reichmuth on Unsplash). I’ve been obsessed during the pandemic watching travel shows and dreaming about road trips and this wonderful photograph gave me another chance to dream about purchasing a van designed by Tommy Camper Vans and hitting the road.

Something Else I Loved About The Wine/Label – A wonderful excuse to share a favorite band and song from the ’80s. I’ve never been able to part with my Def Leppard Pyromania cassette tape that includes the great song Photograph. Wonderful to discover a wine that very pleasantly lets you escape through a photograph and reminisce about Def Leppard concerts, daydream about road trips, ponder your next photo opportunity and enjoy that I found a wonderful new doormat at Target while wandering toward the wine aisle.

What I Loved About The Wine Description – I can dream about driving along the North Coast “just like with photographs, these wines were developed by our winemaker to capture the distinct moment and place where each of these specially crafted wines were sourced.” While my general wine review falls along the line of pour me a little more, this one is described as “notes of black fruit, leather, rhubarb, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove.”

Review – On the road again, to Target, there are a few more photographs I need to daydream over.

  1. I enjoy trying different wines. I notice labels – but this one doesn’t ring a bell. Thanks for the introduction.

  2. Oh, yes! I think the pandemic has channelled many of us in unexpected directions. (I seem to be obsessed with making things/how-to shows.) Keep those north coast dreams. One day the pandemic will be over, and you can head out with your camera. At the end of the day, perhaps a bottle of wine to help you relax from a busy day of taking pictures.

    1. Definitely have developed an addiction to cooking and travel shows and dreaming about road trips. For now, Iโ€™ll keep safely daydreaming over photographs on the deck.๐Ÿ˜

    1. Still turning up the volume whenever theyโ€™re on the radio and never would have imagined all those years ago that I would someday be asking someone name Siri to play me some Def Leppard.๐Ÿ˜

  4. Iโ€™d drink a glass of that, unwinding at the end of the day, sat outside a Tommy Camper, and perhaps the gentle sounds of Def Leppard playing on the radio…
Gentle sounds?! No, Iโ€™d turn it up to 11, through headphones to avoid disturbing the peace, of course.
Loved the van website, didnโ€™t take long to spend far too much on a van we donโ€™t need (in my head, not for real!)
    Enjoy your weekend!

    1. Thank you!๐Ÿ™‚ Lifelong love of LakeLife is being joined by a new fascination with VanLife!๐Ÿ˜ Love their Instagram and website photos and a new location is coming soon to Chicago, which is much closer to home. Harper says we need one for our photography journeys and should rent one to enjoy VanLife for a weekend. Someone has suggested I should spend more time enjoying the Photograph wine with the bicycle label.๐Ÿท๐Ÿ˜ Enjoy the weekend!๐Ÿ˜
