The Week In Seven Photos

The first buzz of electricity after out power outage last week created a great surge of gratitude and I was so happy that I hugged my Keurig coffee maker. It brought back memories of the gratitude journal phase from decades ago and made me wonder if it had slowly faded away because of life or pessimistic pressure. My gratitude buzz took a big hit when I turned on the news after a few days absence and saw very little good news.

After a glorious weather weekend, I slowly inched my way through another humid week trying to maintain my gratitude high

counting down the days until college football returns and appreciating many other early signs of autumn

that always make me smile.

Harper was also smiling

at the thought of autumn and the early return of Snoopy

while thrilled to be out on the trails.

  1. The humidity has been oppressive here, too, as one tropical storm after another moves through. While I don’t want to wish summer away, I could be happy with some drier air!
I love that monarch caterpillar mosaic… nice art for a pollinator garden.

    • Thank you!πŸ™‚ I hope this latest storm weakens and does not impact your area. I think this was our first week since late June without storms and I hope we do not begin a new humid fall trend. My opinion of summer would definitely improve with drier air and football beginning earlier.πŸˆπŸ™‚

  2. Happy to hear the power is back, and very happy for you the signs of autumn are signalling easier days ahead – for the weather if not on the news…
Have a great weekend! Will Kane make an appearance?!

  3. If I’d be forced to live without power for any length of time, I’d be trying to figure out how to use my grill to make coffee. When I say any length of time, I mean anything longer than an hour or so. So, I understand the need to hug your Keurig.
