As the days whiz by leaving one at a momentary loss trying to remember what day or month is upon us,

it’s necessary some days to check nature’s calendar to verify that we’re actually in the middle of September. Caramel apples and cider are a surefire sign it’s September along with

the squirrels stockpiling their cones for winter up and down the driveway.

There’s plenty of time for early risers

to wait and welcome later sunrises on the lake

and greet the arrival of fall visitors.

Now if someone could please tell Mother Nature that, even though we love her beautiful flowers, it’s time to end the humidity, temps in the upper 80s and storms since the squirrels told me it is actually a Friday in mid September.

I agree. It’s time for autumn to start! Nice photos!

Summer is definitely lingering this year… I have mixed feelings about that!

I hope we have a long spell of sunshine with cooler temps as I’m trying not to think about the shorter gray days.🙂
