    1. Thank you and I was so happy my favorite eagle expert helped with the identification since Harper and I were both busy reacting to how big it looked since we hadnโ€™t seen one that close in awhile.๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. she’s one year old,just a baby.
She may have come from this territory? Is there a nest close by? That’ll be her mother and father. Parents tolerate their offspring but not strangers.
If she hopped down on the ground Harper would run in fright!

      2. Iโ€™ve never seen a nest, but I often get lucky seeing an eagle flying over the lake when the migrating ducks arrive in November and thankfully Iโ€™ve never seen them catch a duck or look at Harper too long .๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thank you!๐Ÿ™‚ I havenโ€™t seen an eagle that close in awhile and thought based on how big it looked to Harper and I that it was an adult golden eagle, but my favorite eagle expert identified it as a young female .๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Wow that’s awesome. Great to have your camera this time to get this shot. You’re so lucky to have eagles. When the pandemic is over and I win the lottery, I’m coming to Michigan ๐Ÿฆ…

    1. Thank you!๐Ÿ˜ I donโ€™t see them often, but love when I have the chance to see an eagle or owl. Hopefully theyโ€™ll be flying around when you visit, but if not there are plenty of turkeys we can watch.๐Ÿ˜
