Silent Sunday

I’ll be watching the finale this afternoon. Here’s another suggestion: “Abbott Elementary.” Have you seen it? It’s a mockumentary about a poor school in Philadelphia and the way various teachers cope with challenging situations. This description makes the series sound grimmer than it is. Quinta Brunson, the show’s creator—she also stars in it—has a light touch, and “Abbott Elementary” is full of heart.
Finished the last episode of “Somebody Somewhere.” Now begins the wait for Season 2. Hope you like “Abbott Elementary.” Another comedian, Quinta Brunson, doing a warm, funny show with heart. Do you ever listen to podcasts? If so, NPR’s “Pop Culture Happy Hour” is a great show to listen to. On it, they discuss television shows, movies, books, and music. Get a lot of good recommendations from them. That’s where I learned about both “Somebody Somewhere” and “Abbott Elementary.”
