        those sticks will be checked and ok’d by the adults. They make sure their nest is in tip top shape!
        I’ve seen a male place a twig in a spot only to have the female come along and put it elsewhere again and again!
        If I was the male I’d just leave the twig and perch quietly far from the nest.
