iPhone Journey – Day 31

A surprising result after the first month of this iPhone Journey is that the journey has transitioned from being about the camera to the absolute enjoyment of coffee and walking.

β€œWalking, ideally, is a state in which the mind, the body, and the world are aligned, as though they were three characters finally in conversation together, three notes suddenly making a chord. Walking allows us to be in our bodies and in the world without being made busy by them. It leaves us free to think without being wholly lost in our thoughts.”

  1. What do you think of “Wanderlust”? I just finished reading “The Faraway Nearby” by Rebecca Solnit, the first book I’ve read by her. She offers good food for thought.

    1. So far it’s the perfect book for my new walking journey and the only problem so far is that I want to read her other books and those of all the walkers she rights about and that’s going to take away from my walking time.πŸ“–πŸ™‚

  2. Great photo! Harper looks ready to stride on!
I think today is the last warm and sunny one for us here, and we’re looking forward to more seasonal and fall-like temperatures (before the snow!)
Not looking forward to the Everton game, but that’s normal now…
    Have a great weekend!

    1. Thank you!πŸ™‚ Harper’s been enjoying the walks, but I still think her first choice would be to stay home playing with her toys. Baseball stress may take over the football stress for the next week and I can’t believe you mentioned snow, I want six months of October!!! Enjoy the weekend!!πŸ™‚
