While driving through the backroads of horse country the other week, there was time to enjoy the horses and fall colors and create a western movie marathon list of my favorites. John Wayne (Big Jake, Rio Bravo, El Dorado, McLintock); Clint Eastwood (Pale Rider); Kevin Costner (Silverado, Open Range); Robert Redford (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Jeremiah Johnson); Val Kilmer (Tombstone); Tom Selleck (Quigley Down Under).

    Love the photograph! That’s a mighty fine list of westerns, ma’am – if you’ve time, I’d gamble on Appaloosa and add Unforgiven…

      Thank you and hope I don’t start hearing a Texas drawl while reading your blogs!!😁 I watched the trailer for Appaloosa and can’t believe I missed watching the movie and it will be added to my watchlist. There is a very, very long list of Clint Eastwood movies, including Unforgiven, that somehow have to be watched almost every time they’re found on tv and they are absolutely not allowed on my movie marathon list (even if I find myself watching them half of the time).😁

    That’s a beautiful photo!!! I like watching the old western movies too, my dad looooves them. But, he never like John Wayne…
