I love discovering a bold and bright outlier,

not conforming to nature’s schedule

and willing to shine in solitude as the others rush to shed their leaves together.

Instead of joining the pile, floats gently on their own eccentric time to peacefully land alone.

    The last hurrah… I wonder if that is the red maple hybrid ‘Autumn Blaze’? It really stands out from the crowd!

      I have a particular tree that always kicks off fall colors season and I always end the season with this tree, which does look like an autumn blaze, and some years I’ve captured it covered in snow.🙂

    Amazing colors. This fall was so rainy leaves were only brown and now they are already under snow.
