It’s wonderful to close the door on January

and the disappointing end to the football season without a Buffalo Bills vs. Detroit Lions Super Bowl.

Luckily February will be filled with plenty of Oscar nominated movies, hockey and college basketball games to help me forget I’m waiting for Bryce Harper to hit a home run on Opening Day and football’s return in the fall.

I’m also trying to close the door on my latte addiction by switching to freshly ground home brewed coffee and it’s off to a wonderful start.

I would like to say it’s time to close the door on winter,

but every time I declare to the birds that spring has arrived

we get hit with another surprise snowstorm. While I can no longer declare it’s spring, I can happily announce we have a weekend of sunshine on the way.
