Decluttering The Photo Library

I’ve reached the point where I’ve thrown out everything in the house that I’m willing to part with and now it’s time to declutter the photo library. Over the next few weeks you’ll be seeing some photos that I missed sharing over the years. This shot taken with my Nikon D7100 and Tamron 150-600mm lens from the kayak is a keeper and it’s so enjoyable to have a decluttering project that only requires the push of a button for it to disappear.

    1. It’s nice to finally enjoy a decluttering project and I’m thrilled after years, ok decades, to not currently have any projects on my to do list.🙂

  3. Photo decluttering does need to be done from time to time. I did so on my phone a year or so ago…and am glad I did…but then of course I filled up on new ones so the “cycle” continues!

    1. I’ve put off this project for years and my photo library is out of control!! At least this year I’m trying after every time I’m out with the camera to delete all the bad shots before the next outing.🙂

      1. That’s a good way to approach it. When I go to save a picture now to my phone…I give it more serious thought and only keep it if I’m pretty sure it would make a future “cut.”

      2. Another bonus about this decluttering project is that I can do it while watching Bryce Harper hit a grand slam!!⚾️😁

  4. That one has to stay. I’m decluttering mine at the moment too. I have about 30,000 in folders on my PC which are also backed up on an external hard drive just in case.

    1. Thank you!🙂 Two things have become very clear at the beginning of this decluttering project – the library is in complete chaos and I have to find a new camera or way to continue my bird photography!!🙂
