Let us add being serenaded by a peacock for two hours in the middle of the night to that very long list of I never saw that coming. It may take many hours of listening to Hauser to erase the memory of the sound of the peacock roosting right outside my window.

I was shocked with Harper’s noise issues that she wasn’t up all night too! I’ve been reading about peacocks and discovered they’re social animals, so that must be why they are trying to hang out with the turkeys and during the night they will make that noise if they spot something that shouldn’t be there. Now I want him to tell me what else was in my yard!!😁

I’ve discovered during my research this week that peacocks are very social and after years of the turkeys taking one look at Harper and running or flying in the opposite direction, it’s been surprising to have the peacocks walk toward us when we’re out. Eventually Harper lets them know that is close enough and shockingly is not upset about all the noise. Enjoy your weekend!🙂

Definitely not and it’s very striking in the morning to have the songs of the little birds interrupted by a turkey gobble and the peacock.🙂
