How Many Days Until Spring?!

I’ve spent almost all of winter in the hospital and after finally arriving home to snow storms and freezing weather, I might join Harper in the countdown to spring. My cancer diagnosis changed to an aggressive cancer requiring aggressive treatment that they believe was genetically toxic to my body. I came home very weak, but I feel I’m getting a little stronger each day. They have changed my treatment plan and hopefully the next round of chemo will not cause anything like those severe side effects. One day at a time has become my new motto and I’m thankful for the hope and prayers that have been sent my way.

Glad to hear you are back home and feeling a little stronger every day. I am genetically not equipped to cope with chemo either and am grateful for the support of a nutritionist, whose advice helps keep the rest of me stay in the best possible shape. I hope you get the support you need and send healing thoughts your way πŸ’žπŸ’œπŸ’ž

  17. My brother in law is on his second round of chemo and finding it a bit easier this time. He’s not feeling too bad, just tired. Hopefully it’ll be the same for you. Stay positive and you’ll come out stronger. Spring is just around the corner in more ways than one. Look after yourself.

    1. Thank you!!πŸ™‚ I’m sorry to hear about your brother in law’s cancer, but that’s good news his second round is a bit easier. Mine will start at the beginning of March and I’m staying calm so far with my one day at a time mindset.
